Vision and Values
St Michael's CE Primary School is situated in Wood Green in the London Borough of Haringey. It is a one form entry, primary school with a current roll of 236 children.
The school is proud of its mission to serve its local community and work's in partnership with parents and local church. St Michael's is an Academy School with a strong Christian ethos and set of values.
Parents have strongly expressed their desire for their children to attend the school due to our ethos and the positive, inclusive way we encourage these values. All our children are equally important and we encourage and celebrate our differences.
St Michael's foundation values are at the heart of our school and everything we do. We aim to provide a caring, stable and intellectually stimulating environment where all children can develop their individual potential.
All the staff are passionate about ensuring that the children at school are happy, successful and are making a positive contribution.
We are incredibly proud of our approach to the whole child and also our approach to raising achievement in all aspects of learning, through developing self confidence, motivation, independence, creativity and cooperation.
This underpinned by our Trust and Tri school Vision
Trust Vision - Excellence and Equity for All Children in a Christian Context
Our schools aspire to provide ‘excellence and equity in a Christian context’, where every child is valued as a unique individual treasured by a loving God.
‘I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands.’ Isaiah 49.v16.
Our aim is that every child will have the opportunity to flourish and develop into a rounded adult who can live life to the full.
‘I have come that they may have life and may have it in all its fullness’. John 10.v10.
Our schools are places where all are welcome and where we practise kindness and hospitality on a daily basis. Our vision and our values are clearly displayed and while it is not a requirement that a child and their family have to be practising Christians we do expect all parts of the community, children, staff, parents and carers to support the values that we hold dear.
Tri School Vision - Let your light shine.
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see you good works and give glory your father in heaven.”
We are a school that is more than bricks and mortar...
A place with a zest for learning without walls or limitations, where all are held in the arms of love - respected, and encouraged.
A school that ignites curiosity to take us beyond the world we already know; to read the stories that have been told before us and write those yet to come.
A community that helps us pave our way, as we make great strides; where memories are made, that leave a sparkle in our eyes, and a smile on our face.
A place that builds strong foundations
To cherish, to wonder, to dream, to flourish, to succeed.
